The Houston Rockets are now one win away from reaching the NBA finals for the first time since 1995. They took down the raining NBA champion, Golden StateWarriors, 98-94 behind sixth man, Eric Gordon’s 24 points.

The likely league MVP, James Harden, finished with just 19 points and shot 0-11 from behind the arch. Shooting was not the key to victory as it usually is for the Rockets, but Houston’s defense stepped up tremendously. Coach Mike Dantoni once again chose to go with the seven man game which featured only the five starters and two bench players getting minutes. Along with Eric Gordon’s outstanding bench play, vetran Gerald Green played 16 minutes of tough defensive basketball.

The Rockets will look to close out the series Saturday night in Golden State without the help of their future Hall-of-Fame point gaurd Chris Paul, who strained his hamstring late in the fourth quarter of last nights game.

Tune into TNT tonight for what is sure to be another exciting game in this historic Western Conference Finals.
